The Unionising Problem at Starbucks

Among the most important problems that Starbucks has had for a long time were the desire of its employees to unionise and the dismissal of employees who wanted to unionise. Starbucks employees met with United States Representative Ro Khanna at the California office on Friday. 

In the interview, employees claimed that the company retaliated against employees who unionised or tried to organise and did not negotiate in good faith. Edith Saldano, who works for Santa Cruz County, sat next to the congressman and said the company repeatedly shamed and disrespected them. Saldano said that during his store's first dealing session in November, Starbucks' lawyers left three minutes later.
